I've had a taste for studs, spikes, leopard print and generally loud designs of late, with ripped up denim on nights out and motorhead patches for that ironic touch (because deep down I love pure pop!) This punchy vest below is a feast of intricate studs from The Happyshack, and with so much metallic colour combat manages to embody a summer vibe through an angry design. To give punk something a little posh though, I've also found myself attracted to formal mens shoes with a fine dining elegance to them. A studded outfit with slick shoes works for me! Visit House Of Fraser for more of their mens shoes like the ones I posted below from Dune and Loake!

Reckless Serenade
Here's a disco geek feel. Sequin blazer in midnight black, bleached and careless punk vest, with mad scientist hair with Toni & Guy styling clay and floral nerd specs! A short and sweet post about an outfit I wore out this week on the dancefloor!

Threads Of Thunder
Taking a thread of The Olympics with me, I'm dressing with a look that qualifies for a subtle touch of 'sport' about it. My t-shirt is a relaxed black number, with a striking panel across the top that appears pvc from afar but close up has an athletic training material to it. Transforming an everyday 'innocent goth' idea into something surprisingly sporty, the medley of this top with shorts, bruised white trainers and spiky accessories works in an odd way. My glaring eye necklace is from The Happyshack! I also came across a lookbook by Alder that takes sportswear and the outdoors in an interesting direction, giving it a countryside punk-chav mash up. Neon caps and parkas meet patchwork denim, earthy shoulderbags, and hoodies that would accommodate well for a farmer's son off duty. A look I might put together when I'm next counting sheep back home.

Racing Shadows
I recently had an evening with Toni & Guy, finding out the tricks of the hair trade with their HairMeetWardrobe initiative. For every day that my curly hair is on its best behaviour, I'll then have an afternoon where from afar I could easily pass as a Coronation Street barwoman. So it's like breaking into a vault when I'm introduced to products that make the path to presentable hair a little less epic. Taking my hair in an Oscar Wilde direction, my look was transformed into a light vintage quiff feel, reminding me that a hairstyle is just as important an accessory as the patent shoes I've been eyeing up for a while. Predator
I've loved leopard for all the right and wrong reasons for a while now, with my dotty snapback cap becoming a best friend, and animistic strings finding themselves woven into a variety of my shoes. So it was only a matter of time before I went down the bold Pat Butcher route where tacky leopard print plants itself proudly as a predator on my shirt. The one I'm wearing has slight sheer to it, and looks loud under a tame and polite blazer. Rounding off the earthy animal vibe, my trousers are a delicious dusty rust colour from Topman Ltd that I wear to work regularly. I also had to share the new collection by Miharayasuhiro that I shamefully missed when it first glided down the runway. I can't get enough of the sticky leather shorts, mixed in with wasp yellows for a colorful but industrial aura.
