First Class Clinical

Living in what can only be described as an odd urban environment of nans and suspicious teens, I've had to hibernate a few of my sparking colour tops that would attract 'moth to a flame' looks. But luckily this has only aided and built a subtle subway underground route to achieving a similar sort of impact. I've put a stamp of approval on postman style shorts that have a playful postage to their style delivery, but also boast a thick and sharp edge to them that gives some business class. Paired with a winter comfort knit and a polo top that clings in a conservative way, shorts can suddenly become something of the swarv new decor, even in the evening.

The likes of Prada have recently refurbished the short persona into a long trail of occasion possibilities. Almost serving as masculine skirts, the unconvenional length and electric blue colours are aesthetically tame and appropriate when teamed with muted tops that are both flowing and fitted at the same time. Clinical comes to mind; a phrase I'm definately going to try and abide by as the seasons go by.

  4. the smile is back again! the shorts suit you so well, great colour and great length, plus i adore your cardigan with glimpse of braces.

i really do understand what you mean about attracting 'moth to flame' looks, whist i don't wear the most outrageous and bright outfits, i tend to dress down when i'm in college (i'm going back tomorrow and dreading it) in fear of attracting unwanted attention from both my style and my size. it's a shame, really, that we have to change the way we dress for other people.

i know i have said this before but your writing style is truly amazing.

    love, jazzabelle. x

  5. i totally get the thing about not wanting to attract unwanted attention - i wore a sequinned top to sixth form once and regretted it all day. and also, being a girl, i'm constantly checking hemlines to keep lechy idiots in cars, firmly IN their cars.

this is a super cute look, i like the shorts/braces combo :)

  10. I came so effing close to buying a pair of men's shorts a few months ago but resisted after realising my lady hips/bottom don't really fit into men's shorts. I guess I could get lady's shorts but it just wouldn't be the same... Anyway I'm glad to see that someone is rocking men's tailored shorts (y)
